Donese Worden, N.M.D., is an award-winning physician and global health educator who expertly and compassionately bridges the worlds of advanced conventional and alternative medicine. As a naturopathic medical doctor, she is licensed in prescribing both pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals. Her passion is in helping people interpret medical science so they can take charge of their health and make informed decisions.
Dr. Worden’s unique skill set combines extensive experience in medical practice, research, academics, marketing, public speaking, and media, which sets her apart from other respected industry leaders.
In addition to her clinical practice, she’s served as the principal researcher for numerous medical industry companies, designing and conducting research for medical devices and nutraceuticals. She currently has three active research projects with major institutions/hospitals.

Dr. Worden, who has a master’s degree in communications and television broadcasting, has become a well-seasoned talk show host from her many years of television experience. She hosted two talk shows for NBC in a three-state NBC southern network and also worked as a news anchor for affiliates of ABC, CBS, and NBC.
Featured on the cover of The National Speaker’s Association magazine as one of the top speakers in the nation, Dr. Worden has given keynote lectures for numerous medical societies and health organizations.
Dr. Worden developed a groundbreaking integrative masters level course ” Ancient Healing Traditions for Modern Times” and has been teaching it as a faculty associate at Arizona State University for more than a decade.

Kay is also in charge of participant wellness and takes care of everyone from the time they register until they are back home. Kay is the co-owner and vice-president of Global Journeys. She provides a wealth of experience in travel and cultural connections. Kay was born and educated in British Guyana, moved to the U.S. and has traveled and worked with people in many European countries, Russia, Egypt, South Africa, British West Indies, and Central America. Her knowledge and connections with various cultures is a wonderful asset as she works with and teaches a variety of people. Her vision of providing service to those in need and doing so in a celebratory way certainly is a foundation of this retreat.

Franco Marini is a professor at the Daniels College of Business and works with the University of Denver on several educational experiential projects.
