Getting to Occidental Tamarindo Hotel

The Occidental Tamarindo Hotel is located on Playa Langosta in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica, also known as the Gold Coast. From the Liberia International airport it is approx. 50 miles.

Please Note: Except for the few who are arriving a day or two before, most of you are arriving on 12/11. Check in is at 3 pm, so please allow the staff to get organized and don’t attempt to check in earlier. We appreciate having everyone arriving on time and staying for the entire retreat. Coming late or departing early can shift the energy of the entire event, so kindly plan accordingly.

If you are fully registered and you provide us with your flight information by October 31, 2022, and arrive and depart within the stated time frames, we will pick you up at the airport and shuttle you back at the end of the retreat at NO cost. If you register and /or send us your flight information after October 31, 2022, or you are arriving at a different time than stated, kindly be responsible for providing and paying for your own transportation to the hotel and back to the airport. We can support you with that arrangement.

Once your registration has been confirmed, make flight arrangements to arrive at the Liberia airport (LIR) between noon and 3 pm on December 11, 2022 and depart after 1 pm on December 17, 2022. We will have a shuttle pick you up at the Liberia airport and at the conclusion of the retreat, we will get you back to the Liberia airport. Within these time frames the shuttle is included as part of your cost as long as you are fully registered and provide us with your flight information by September 30, 2022. If you arrive and/or depart at a different time, kindly arrange your own transportation.

The travel time between the airport and Hotel Occidental Tamarindo is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

If you decide to rent a car, (though you will not be needing a car during the retreat) here are the directions to Occidental Tamarindo Hotel.

Driving directions from Liberia to Occidental Tamarindo Hotel: When you exit the airport service road, take a right and go 29 km to Belen intersection. At the Belen intersection, take a right following signs to Las Catalinas, Flamingo, Melia Conchal. Follow this road for 26 km and you will see a sign for Tamarindo. Turn left, go through the town of Tamarindo and approximately 2 kilometers from the center of town, you will arrive at the hotel.
