About Us
Howard Martin is the Executive Vice President, HeartMath LLC, Co Author, The HeartMath Solution and Heart Intelligence, Global Coherence Initiative Steering Committee Member
He is one of the original leaders who helped Doc Childre HeartMath’s founder develop the HeartMath System and its organizations. He has been with HeartMath since its inception in 1991 serving as a key spokesperson and executive. In 1999 he co-authored The HeartMath Solution, published by HarperSanFrancisco , considered to be a classic and the definitive work on the intelligence of the heart. Howard is also a co-author author of HeartMath’s latest book Heart Intelligence, Connecting with the Intuitive Guidance of the Heart.
During his career with HeartMath Howard has been instrumental in delivering practical, yet dynamic programs to tens of thousands of people in audiences world-wide. Because of his universal appeal, he has conducted keynote presentations and training programs for Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, all four branches of the U.S. military, school systems, ecumenical organizations and for publicly promoted events in over 50 cities on four continents.
He is a member of two important and prestigious organizations. Transformational Leadership Council, an exclusive organization founded by author Jack Canfield that is made up of leaders in the fields of personal, organizational and social transformation and Evolutionary Leaders, a group of select global visionaries founded by Deepak Chopra.
Howard played a key role in launching the Global Coherence Initiative (GCI), a science-based, co-creative project to unite people in heart-focused care and intention, to facilitate the shift in global consciousness from instability and discord to balance, cooperation and enduring peace. He has served as a Steering Committee Member and spokesperson for GCI since its inception in 2008.
As a key spokesperson, Howard does approximately 75 media interviews and webinars annually including all of the major U.S. television networks, internationally syndicated radio, major magazines and numerous documentary films including The Power of the Heart, The Truth, Incredible You and The Living Matrix. He speaks internationally on developing the new intelligence needed to navigate life during these changing times and the importance of creating global coherence.

Franco Marini is the co-owner and director of Global Journeys and recently founded “The NeuroTransology Institute” dedicated to bringing positive change to the world. Franco was born in Italy and since his arrival in the U.S., when he was eight, he has continued traveling as part of his life’s mission. Kay LatchmanSingh is the main organizer and logistic expert of this retreat. Her background in international trade and finance and her attention to details will ensure that this will be a quality experience for all. She is in communication with everyone who is a part of this program and makes sure that all aspects of this endeavor are synchronized. Kay is also in charge of participant wellness and takes care of everyone from the time they register until they are back home. Kay is the co-owner and vice-president of Global Journeys. She provides a wealth of experience in travel and cultural connections. Kay was born and educated in British Guyana, moved to the U.S. and has traveled and worked with people in many European countries, Russia, Egypt, South Africa, British West Indies, and Central America. Her knowledge and connections with various cultures is a wonderful asset as she works with and teaches a variety of people. Her vision of providing service to those in need and doing so in a celebratory way certainly is the foundation of this retreat. She is a Yoga Shiromani (teacher of yoga) in the Sampoorna tradition, and is a student of Sanskrit. She will be leading some of the Yoga sessions on this retreat. Kay’s Hindu practice, knowledge of the Vedic Traditions, experience leading Kirtan, amazing ability to prepare Indian cuisine and Yoga knowledge will be invaluable assets on this retreat.
